When I began writing The Listed Home, in 2012, I had no intention of starting a lifestyle blog. It was simply to chart my twin pregnancy followed by our experiences once the babies finally arrived.
The focus was simply to use this online space as a diary; a place record our little family milestones. This blog was the perfect place to store all of those memories.
But in January 2015, I decided (as the blog was now, very much, a permanent fixture in our lives) that I wanted to add other things that I loved too.

UK Lifestyle Blog Culture
When I began writing, I had no idea of the UK lifestyle blog culture that I was entering into.
It was a rapidly growing sector but with the advance of platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, UK blogging has seen a rapid rise — and fall — over the last decade.
There has been a lot of talk that would suggest that ‘the blog’ is dead; brands would rather showcase their businesses on social media.
But I truly believe that a link on a well managed website, that will be picked up by search engines again and again — picking up momentum over the years — is much more valuable than a social media post that will have a life span of 24 hours.
Blogging for me has really evolved over the years. I take SEO really seriously and work really hard to ensure that The Listed Home features prominently in the search engines.
A Very British Lifestyle Blog
The Listed Home is a British lifestyle blog — in the very truest sense of the word. It covers every element of my lifestyle; Homes and interiors — which I’ve always been passionate about — plus a sprinkling of fashion, lifestyle, food, crafts, festivals, travel and days out.
Over the last decade, I have had the pleasure of working with brands such as:

…to name a few!
I work very, very hard on each and every post that I publish on this British lifestyle blog. I pride myself on creating the very best content I can; using engaging copy, lovely images and sometimes even video.
Ultimately this lifestyle blog is a representation of my family, so I never, ever represent brands that don’t fit with our lifestyle or interests.
I turn down many approaches but, as a result, the brands I do collaborate with know that they’re in good company and can expect their products — or services — to be promoted in a creative and very personal way.
I’m incredibly proud to be an ambassador for:
I have an ongoing relationship with all of these brands; and am delighted to work with them, showcasing their products and services.
Awards and Nominations
The Listed Home has been nominated for various awards and accolades over the years. And we’ve been lucky enough to win one too.
It’s something that makes me very proud, as it’s a gentle nod — from my readers and experts in the blogging world — to all the hard work that I put in behind the scenes.
